The agency has served a number of Ohio entities over the years:
The agency was the exclusive public relations/marketing agency for the Ohio Bicentennial celebration and garnered in-state print and broadcast coverage valued at nearly $26 million. National media coverage produced 24.3 million print impressions in the nation’s top publications and reached millions of viewers. Yopko Penhallurick was awarded the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Silver Anvil for its work on the Ohio Bicentennial – the industry’s most prestigious national award.
For several years the agency successfully generated national media coverage to promote Ohio travel and tourism and earned national acclaim for the Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism with a Bronze Anvil from the PRSA, designing a state-wide Underground Railroad travel brochure.
To assist Ohio History Connection, YP cultivated Ohio history stories with national media during the Ohio-hosted Republic National Convention. In addition to working with such media as CBS This Morning and Sunday Morning, as well as Time Magazine, the agency provided media interview workshops to prepare curators, and one-on-one practice sessions to develop effective interview skills.
